From The New Campuses Ohio University: This campus was one of the first to be established, opening in 1946. The new Georgian-style building, Henry Massie Hall, opened to area students in February, 1967. The campus is composed of four city blocks overlooking the Ohio River and is located just off U.S. Route 52. Started with an enrollment of 381 students, the campus now has almost 900 students.
