Abstract

This study in progress by Masters of Occupational Therapy (MOT) students aims to look at the functional patterns of activities of daily living (ADLs) in community-dwelling older adults who are aging in place. The participants aged 65 and older were recruited using snowball techniques through social media and posted flyers. A virtual descriptive survey through Survey Monkey allowed the researchers to ask participants how they are completing the ADLs of bathing, dressing, upper and lower, grooming, toileting, and transferring at home. The 35- question online survey’s design will be analyzed and emerging results and discussion will be presented.
