Abstract

Rapport is one of the most important aspects of education. However, it does not always get the recognition that it deserves because it looks different in each and every classroom that you encounter. This research will examine the connections between rapport and effective learning environments and how to build both of them in a positive and inviting way. It will look to answer a few questions: Does teacher rapport with student’s affect student learning? How can educators develop rapport and a safe learning environment in the classroom and maintain it? Both of these questions can be difficult to answer. In this research there has been careful consideration to these questions especially due to the global pandemic, COVID-19. Yet, even with these limitations, rapport and effective classroom environments are still as important as ever.
