Abstract

This study examined the impact of strict religious ideologies in upbringing on sexual insecurity in individuals raised female (AFAB). Prior research indicates that authoritative ideologies emphasizing modesty, obedience, and gendered expectations may contribute to long-term challenges in developing a secure sexual self-esteem. To investigate this, the study used both correlational and experimental components. Notably, the findings indicated that those raised in stricter religious environments did report higher sexual insecurity.
