Abstract
In Fall of 2025, myself and other Shawnee students were in attendance of GDEX, a 4 day game developer's convention in Columbus, OH. This expedition was particularly special because the engineering department chose me to represent them. This included manning the SSU booth, talking to interested peoples, and presenting some of the wonderful work that's come from us. Furthermore, this was a very valuable honor's experiential learning trip - a key aspect of the honor's program where students widen their experiences and worldviews.
In this presentation, I will share what the journey of students going to industry conference can look like (and did look like for me). Everything from the simple logistics of travel & hotels to key demonstrations & discussions with those in my career field.
