Abstract
Greater Trochanteric Bursitis is a common condition that involves inflammation of the bursa of the hip joint. Based on current research available through multiple database searches a detailed literature review of physical therapy treatment intervention efficacy studies were summarized. A hypothetical primary study is being proposed to further examine the efficacy of dry needling compared to PNF on the treatment of greater trochanteric bursitis. Methods for a hypothetical primary study implementation were proposed to validate treatment efficacy. Results and conclusion of data findings were hypothetically concluded based on results of previous studies within the literature review performed.
