Abstract
In the current educational landscape, we are making strides to reach more students than ever before, but how is this possible? I wanted to dive deeper into differentiated instruction in a rural Kentucky high school to find out how it could change the way students reacted to the content and if that would reflect in their grades. Students in the class tend to voice their concerns about how they do bit fit into the educational landscape, especially in English. By creating lessons that focus on the five different learning styles and comparing them to past paper assignments, I collected data that showed an increase in student cooperation and satisfaction with their work, which turned the classroom culture around to a place where students who previously would either skip the assignment or create less than satisfactory results, worked to create a product that they enjoyed and proved their knowledge.

Using Differentiated Instruction to Reach Student’s Needs
