Abstract

In this presentation we will explore what teaching strategies are used in a 2nd grade reading intervention classroom that include materials for hands-on instruction. Comparing these strategies to whole group lecture and worksheet activities, we can see if these are beneficial in phonics instruction, reading fluency an comprehension, as well as oral communication skills.
